“Through the beautiful Gobi in the south” a study drawing exhibition 2019
admin Dec 02, 2019With the initiative of Art Gallery Union of Mongolian Artists’ branch in Umnugovi-province, under the purpose to promote and perpetuate the beautiful landscape of the Umnugovi-province in studies, and to activate the cooperation between the branches in the capital and rural areas, the project “Through the beautiful Gobi in the south” is implemented between August 04, 2019 and August 14, 2019. Total of 16 artists took part in this project and traveled 1,100 kilometers to 21 beautiful landscapes in Umnugovi-province including Dalanzadgad, Sevrei, Bayandalai, Noyon, landscape of Gurvantes soum, Mukhar shivert, Yoliin am, Dungeneegiin am, Khunkhur khatsavch, Khaniin tsets, Noyon bogd mountain, Toli rock, Saran valley, Khermen tsav, Zuun mod, Zulganai, Nemegt, Gelbent, Khongor sand dunes, Baruun saikhan, Bayan bor nuruu, and Bayanzag.
Total of 16 artists who took part in this studies travel including Dagvadorj S. - Mongolian Merited Arts Figure and Art Gallery Union of Mongolian Artists’ (AGUMA) award-winning painter, Mashbat S. - AGUMA award-winning painter, Purevdorj D. - Mongolian leading cultural worker (MLCW), Batbileg D. – MLCW, Bayarbaatar S., Tsoggerel T. – MLCW, Chuluunbaatar B., Soninbayar A. – MLCW, Odpurev Ch., Sarangoo B., Gereltsetseg B., Munkhzaya N., Khuderchuluun O. – MLCW, Ariuntuya B., Solongo Ts., and Bekhbileg J. have publicly displayed their joint exhibition named “Through the beautiful Gobi in the south 2019” as a travel report for their studies at the “Sengeragi” art gallery hall.
During their process of study, the artists have gained new contexts, techniques, and trends thereby created their work of art - in which the spectacular landscape of the Gobi desert is put down on paper - through the perceptions they felt. The artists created their work of art with the materials and techniques of their choosing such as oil and water painting, pastel, and line drawing. The main feature of the study is that artists need to get acquainted with the essence of the phenomenon of things, life, and nature, and to do their own research beforehand.
