If I were to define the “Novotel” hotel, it would be “warm”. The hotel is a branch of the “Akkor” chain hotel with over 4,200 branches across the globe and it was opened in the capital of Mongolia a year ago.

2. “HOLIDAY INN” AND THE GREEN ENVIRONMENT

The main entrance hall was settled with an eco-green color. Green walls, green lights, green chairs, and green carpets… everything is all green here as if we’re in wild nature. So let’s call the “Holiday Inn” hotel “Green Environment”. The hotel is a branch of the “IHG” or “International Hotels Group” chain hotels with over 5,603 branches all over the world and it has been operating in our country since 2016.

3. “BLUE SKY” AND COMFORT

The hotel is designed to provide the customers of luxury hotels with all the contentment they need. The “Blue Sky”, a unique establishment complementing the charm of the capital, will make you feel comfortable. The whole capital can be seen through the windows in the hotel rooms. It feels like the carpet on the floor is exactly the same as the color of the sky. The hotel managed to satisfy the customers with the utmost comfort. Let’s just call this place the “Comfort”.

4. “PREMIUM” AND THE CALMNESS

A calm and peaceful environment is dominant here. The carpets from the “Huns” collection by the “Erdenet Carpet” Co.Ltd seem to be decorating the floor. I’ve read from an interior-design magazine that the world-renowned hotels use mostly intermediate-colored carpets such as beige and gray. The “Premium” hotel has decorated their rooms with the carpets that meet the world standards. The furniture inside the rooms is unique due to the fact they were made of 100% eco-materials. On top of that, the color of the furniture matches the color of the carpet is the best thing since sliced bread. Historical monuments in Ulaanbaatar city, the “Gandantegchenlin” monastery, the modern view of the city, and business centers can be seen through the windows in the rooms. Let’s define the “Premium” hotel as the “Calmness”.

5. “СASTELLA” AND THE MINIMALISM

The “Castella” hotel is situated in a high-elevation area, the western 4-way intersection, at the heart of the city. What really caught my eyes in a hotel mostly dominated by the Minimalism was the Huns-styled carpet with a Mongolian traditional pattern rolled out on the floor. Even the chairs and couch inside the room are small in size. Minimalism is all about preferring fewer and the most simplistic furniture over the furniture that is large in size and space. In my opinion, the hotel room is more ideal for customers who prefer order. We emphasize that the “Castella” is a hotel of Minimalism.
