CHINGGIS KHAAN’S BIRTHPLACE AND ITS SIGHTSEEING TOUR

Overview

Discover the highlights of Mongolian history and steppe. Breathtaking landscapes and the warm hospitality of the nomads remain unforgettable. The journey begins on the scent of history-Genghis Khan. We drive through the grasslands to the birthplace of the mighty ruler and on the way, we arrive at the lake where he earned his title of Genghis Khan and became the King of all Mongols. After that, we see rock inscriptions and drawings from different ages. Then, we visit the world's largest equestrian statue of Genghis Khan. 




Itinerary

    Upon arrival in Ulaanbaatar, it's recommended that you clear customs and check-in to the hotel and relax from your flight. We begin our city tour by visiting the National Historical Museum. Further, we stroll at the "Sukhbaatar" square where the monument of Genghis Khan and Parliament Building lies. Then we drive to the "Zaisan" hill to enjoy an amazing panoramic view of the whole city. Finally, we get to know about Mongolian traditional art and have a welcome dinner. (Accommodation: Hotel Meals: Breakfast and Dinner.)
Our trip begins in the east to the nature reserve "Khan Khenhii". Here, we discover a beautiful landscape surrounded by forests, mountains, meadows and many animals on the pasture such as yak, horses, sheep, and goats. In the afternoon, we arrive at a Ger-camp where it binds at the foot of "Tuul". (Accommodation: Ger - camp Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.) 
Today we continue our journey to the historical place named "Khar Zurkhnii Khukh Nuur". Here, Temuujin was elected as the king of all Mongolian tribes in 1189 and earned the title of "Genghis Khan". After recovering in Ger-camp, we move further to the monastery "Baldan Bereeven". It was constructed in 1777 and had 20 buildings and 4 schools and considered as the largest monastery in the country, at its peak. However, there is only one main monastery left. Here, we explore and walk around the area for a little while. Then we head back to the Ger-camp before dinner. (Accommodation: Ger-camp Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.)
After breakfast, we head towards the destination of today, the rock "Rashaant". Here, we discover various characters carved on the rocks, from the Bronze Age to the various inscriptions from Khitan, Araba, Tibet, and China. Also, clearly visible various tribal characters can be seen. (Accommodation: Ger-camp Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.)
In the morning, we begin our sightseeing at "Uglugchiin Kherem". It is a fortification from the 12-14th century it's 2.5-3m tall, 2.5m wide, and approximately 3 km long. It was supposed to serve as a standing place for archers. Then we head out to a Ger-camp in the settlement of "Binder Soum" village. On the way, we stop by to get fresh supplies. In the afternoon, we check-in to the Ger-camp. (Accommodation: Ger-camp Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.)
Today we reach the farthest destination "Deluun Boldog", where the ruler-Genghis Khan was born in 1162 near the mountain. The sacred place enjoys a good reputation among the Mongols and is located in a very rural area. Dadal Soum was one of the three major Lama temples dedicated to Genghis Khan but it was destroyed in the 1930s. (Accommodation: Ger-camp Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.)
After breakfast in Ger-camp, we drive towards "Bayan Adraga" Soum. Here, we visit the ancient grave site from the Hun Period / VII-V century BC /. In this area, 200 graves from the time of the Huns were found and it is claimed that Huns are the Central Asian equestrian people and the ancestors of Mongols. (Accommodation: Ger-camp or Simple hotel (nomadic family) Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.) 
On the day, we move towards provincial capital "Genghis Khan". We visit the city and the local museum. (Accommodation: Hotel Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.)
In the morning, we head to "Gun Galuutai", where there is a great diversity of ecosystems, even if it is small in comparison. The complex of high mountains, steppes, rivers, and the early areas are preserved in its original condition. (Accommodation: Ger-camp Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.)
Today we drive to the national park "Terelj". En route, we visit the world's largest equestrian statue of Genghis Khan. After having lunch here, we move forward to the camp complex themed as 13th-century camps. The complex consists of 5 other Ger camps, in which categorized as the post warehouse, the arts and crafts camp, the shepherd's camp, the shaman camp, and the royal seat. In these Ger-camps, natives in traditional clothing play the life of the 13th century. (Accommodation: Ger-camp Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.)
On this day, we are back in civilization. Upon arriving in the capital, we visit the monastery palace of the last king of Mongolia "Bogd Javzan-Damba". He was declared as Mongolian Relios and political leader in 1911. In the afternoon, you're at leisure and you have time to go for souvenir or shopping in Cashmere store. In the evening, we enjoy the last meal together. (Accommodation: Hotel Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.) 
You will be at leisure in your hotel and you may stroll around on your own until our guide escorts you to Chinggis Khaan International Airport for your departure flight. Your driver will assist you with flight check-in and luggage, and see you off at the point of security check. (Breakfast)
