A ger camp is a travelers’ accommodation in Mongolia. A ger is a Mongolia’s traditional dwelling, made of collapsible round wooden structures, covered by felt layers. A ger has been used by nomads for centuries. It is regarded as the eco-friendliest structure and is well adapted to our continental climate. As it can be stable for strong wind, cool in the summer and warm inside when air temperature drops. These days, Gers are trendy accommodation for the people who are travelling throughout Mongolia’s countryside. You can stay in a ger equipped with modern furnishings while viewing picturesque scenery from your comfortable bed through the door.

Ger Camp is a kind of hotel that serves customers with Gers instead of hotel rooms and always located at the most attractive places. It’s most popular accommodation type for countryside trip in Mongolia that consists of 20-30 Gers (Mongolian traditional yurt), a restaurant and some entertainment facilities. Each Ger has 2 beds and furnished with a table, chairs and a wood-stove. Modern toilet and hot shower facilities is in a separate block. The restaurant mostly serves Western and Mongolian meals. Most visitors prefer to stay in Ger, which provide an authentic taste of Mongolian culture and adventure and will be their most enjoyable experience in Mongolia.

All your meals in Ulaanbaatar are at the best available restaurants in the city. Oriental, western and traditional Mongolian cuisine is available and the cost of all meals (excluding alcoholic beverages) is inclusive to your tour cost. During camping tours, we offer selection of salads, soups (such as noodle soup- ‘Lapsha’ and cream soup-‘Bantan’, vegetable cream soup) and main courses (i.e. Mongolian barbecue-‘Horhog’, khuushuur, buuz and steaks). If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know prior to the trip. As we can make special arrangements for you.

We select restaurants based on our experiences, client satisfaction, location and cuisine. Normally we include three meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner) each day during the whole trip.

In Ulaanbaatar, you can expect a good variety of quality restaurants with international foods. Breakfasts usually are served in western style at the hotel where you stay.

We mostly use following restaurants for lunch & dinner in the city trip: “Modern Nomads”, “bd’s Mongolian Barbeque”, “City Nomads”, “Mirage” and hotel restaurants in Ulaanbaatar. Lunch & dinners are mostly served with Western food, and sometimes Mongolian food, or a combination of both.

Outside of the city, we generally eat breakfast and dinner in the best tourist Ger camp in the region and some days with longer trips, we take a packed lunch. Your packed lunch will be carried in appropriate containers to prevent spillage or spoiling. Ger camps serve both Mongolian and International foods, and there will usually be a choice of main dish.
